" party hard! "

   My party was exactly not a typical kind of party,because I am everything but not a party girl.

   This party consisted of celebration of Christmas time with my friends living in England. We all connected by skype and had a virtual party. Of course, we have practiced English and had a great time together.

  

 There was 4 of us - me and 3 another girls on the other side of skype. We had presents which we recieved from each other, big cup of fruit tea ( even though it was not 5 a.m., what a rebelion :) )and some of us also ate christmas sweets. We spoke about the way we celebrate Christmas in the Czech Republic and how does it differ from the way they celebrate Christmas in England.

   There was a great atmosphere there, because we were also listening to carols. My friends wanted me to sing some of them, but I was sure, that the party should have stay cool and shouldn´t have been ruined by me singing a song, because I know for sure, that I´m a horrible singer.

   We´ve been talking for eternity and nono uf us wanted to stop it. Because I was supposed to practice my speaking skill and prepare for an exam, I also asked them to clarify me some issues I wasn´t sure about.

   It may seem to be a boring party or not even a real party, but I had a great time and also did something for improving my English.

Course evaluation.

Mr. Vít´s lessons are ones of those I really like. The reason is, that I enjoy the way our teacher treat us. He is someone, who makes a good impression. I´m not scared, ashamed or bored during his lessons. Usually I have a little problem with speaking in public, because of I´m nervous and afraid of making mistakes. It´s no more a problem during Mr. Vít´s lessons. I feel good and self-confident about my speaking skills. Of course I make mistakes sometimes, but when it happens I don´t have to be scared and feel uncomfortable about it, because nobody is perfect and as everybody know one learns from their mistakes. This is how I feel about the lectures.

What I also like is the way Mr. Vít teaches us. There is not only enough space for sharing our opinions with others, but also a lot of fun during the lessons. I have never experienced a lecture in which we are asked to sing a song ( especially when even this big authority, which a teacher is supposed to be, sings ) or to dub in a TV serie. This is, fortunately, also a negative thing for me, because I am really and one more time really bad singer and I´m also pretty sure, that my voice doesn´t fit to Joey´s character in f.r.i.e.n.d.s. But actually, who cares? :)

Thanks to Mr. Vít´s way of teaching I improved my English and remember much more from school, than I could have ever imagine.

MINISAGA

And so that man lived happily ever after, because he could go to the pub, drink as much beer as he wanted, watched sport events and didn´t have to talk about woman´s feelings.

Thanksgiving Day

   It was a very loooong time ago, when Pilgrim Fathers suffered from their very first and very cruel winter on the newly discovered continent.
   Had it not been for the original inhabitants´ help, who adviced them how to survive, all of these newcomers would have died for sure. Pilgrim Fathers deciced to organize an event based on a huge amount of food and togetherness as a thank you for saving their lifes and so the new holiday was founded.The reason they organized it was en effort to show their gratefulness.

   Since that moment to celebrate Thanksgiving Day has became a regular event. There is almost no family not celebrating this day. Every year, on the second Monday in October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday in November in the USA people spent time together. All they want is have a good time with their families. They eat the most common and traditional food - a turkey.

   Logically, this event should not be celebrated in the rest of the world, because it´s the national holiday connected with the American history, but due to globalization and commercial affairs it is now celebreted probably by some families in every single country around the world and nobody cares that there were no Pilgrim Fathers in the south Asia. 

   America´s rules simply influence the rest of the world so much.

   I think, that American holidays should stay in America. There is so many events deserving being celebrated in every single country, so why should we follow the crowd simply because this or that is American and thus certainly cool? 

I must, I must not.

This article is gonna be somehow different. I´ve decided to make a list of what I MUST and what I MUST NOT do.

1, I must learn to pretend that I really regred canceled lecture instead of behaving like this:

2, I must improve my dance style, especially the gangam one.

3, I must start driving a car again. To be honest, winter is about to come and using a flying dog is not safe anymore.

4, I also must learn to ride a bike. Of course, in fact, I am able to ride a bike, but few weeks ago I had an accident and from that moment me and my bike have not been so good friends.

 

5, I'm sure it would be suitable if I was able to control my emotions and admit that I'm not always right. I must work on it!

6, My social me must improve its way of showing an empathy when someone's feelings are hurt by a breakup.

7, I absolutelly must learn that thinking about acting before acting itself is very, very and once more very important!

8, My extremelly and deeply hiden mannequin me must improve its walking.

9, I must change the way I study. I should not start with it at 10 o'clock in the evening. Believe me, it's never a good idea.

10, I must try to eat boiled vegetable without this grimace being made by my face.

11, Last but not least. I must understand that retieers simply walk slowly. Especially in shops and at any time  I'm in a hurry and there is no possibility to overtake them.

Bonus.

I must know the way he does it. I also wanna be able to become invisible!

   I really wasn´t interested in these kinds of movies till now. And I know, that refusing to watch " Catch me if you can " was a huge mistake. This movie was amazing and full of tension.

   Why did I somehow get to like Frank? Simply, I appriciate his creativity. All story was very interesting and I cannot imagine myself doing the same thigs as Frank did at the age of 19.
I´ve heard about him many times and found imposible to understand why FBI decided to hire someone, who they were looking for so long time. I am no more surprised now after seeing the movie.

   To be honest, this idea should be for sure contiued. I´ve seen a lot of news reports about people, who got into someone other´s softwares, even though there were many safety measures, with exactly not good intentions and I have always thougt about the idea of employing these people to FBI or White House etc. as for example safety experts.

   The second thing that gained my interest was the one about friendship between Frank and FBI agent Carl. This kind of friendship seemed to be pushed aside, what looks like an obvious fact, but on the other hand it is something, that is maybe one of the most important aspect of the whole movie. If there hadn´t been for Carl´s and Frank´s friendship, Frank would have never lived the rest of his life the way he had.

   To sum it up, I am greatful for getting this homework, because if not, I would probably never see this touching story.

♪♫ me and music ♫♪

To be honest, I am not an appropriate example of a music fan. I have never been crazy about any concrete music style. My choice of songs depends on current situation - when I am sad or depresed, I need to listen to some slow and somehow sad songs that can help me to reduce my negative feelings, because while listening to a sad song, I´m using my imagination, that takes me to the better place, where there is no stress, sadness, depression or anything else which is is everything but not positive.

It´s obvious, that I don´t prefer one exact music style. I cannot say, that I am rock, pop, heavy metal or classical music fan. I just listen to the song that gains my attention and I really don´t care whether it´s a hip hop or pop music from the 80´s. Hip hop is the best choice while me and my basketball team are warming up before match. I cannot imagine to warm up while listening to some slow songs. It would, in fact, makes me feel tired instead of being hunger for victory. On the other hand, I would never download a hip hop song to my MP3 player. This is an example of what I´ve mentioned before - choice of the song depends on my mood and the backround.

And when do I listen to the songs the most often? I listen to the music the most when I´m on my way to school sitting in the bus or train.

CHANGE..!

Change. This word may be understood in many different ways. Someone can connect it with new hairstyle, clothes etc., another one can speak about change in the government.

But I would like to write about change in general. Change is necessary in case you don´t wanna stay in one place without moving anywhere. And I´m sure that none of us wants to stay in one place for the rest of their life.

No change can in many cases mean no chance. Why?

For example someone, who is ashamed of speaking in public and it´s their biggest nightmare will never get an opportunity to became a professional public speaker if they don´t decide for a change. These people have to change their priorities. They have to ask themself: " Do I wanna be a professional speaker or is being an ashamed person who never achieves his or her goal more important for me?  " This is an appropriate question. And than, he or she can acts due their new priorities and goals to achieve what they want. In my opinion, this is a positive change just as when someone decides to change his life style - stop smoking, start excercise or begin to eat healthy.

But on the other hand, not every change leads to happy end. Quiting school just because I am too lazy to study hard or cheating on girfriend or boyfriend. These are obviously not good examples of good change, but still, although it´s not positive, it makes you move. The question is whether it makes you move forward or backward.

That´s it. 

THE ELECTION

   To clarify my decision, I´ve decided for this topic simply because it is, especially today ( on the 25th of October ), a very topical issue. To think about the election is very important, because as it is said, we have got the possibility to somehow influence our futrure as a nation by our own choice. This article will be focused mostly on my personal opinion.

   Firstly, I should mention, that I am totally not interested in politics. To be honest, I don´t know what is the main goal of any of the political parties that are included in this election. I also don´t know the difference between the left wing and the right wing and believe me, I really don´t care about it. The main reason is, because, personally, I think, that in fact our choice cannot change anything. There were thousands of election in the past and there alway were complains about the winning political party. Everybody should realize, that by our choice, we only give a power to one particular party to do whatever its members want. I really don´t believe in delivering on of their promises. Of course, every party will promise us to do what we want to hear, but after the election - no promises are completed.

There is also a lot of people, who decided not to vote, but I think this isn´t the best decision. They will have no right to complain about the winning party then. This is why I´ve decided to vote, even though I didn´t want to. I will vote the political party that has no chance to win and the reasons are simple - as I´ve mentioned, I don´t understand politics and I just wanna have the right to complain :D.

   I think this is enough about election, because everytime I speak about politics, it makes me angry and I really don´t wanna feel angry now. :D 

REVIEW

   I would like to write a review about new, 15th series of an American reality show called The Biggest Loser, which has started last week. Firstly, I will write about what this reality is focused on and in the second part, I´ll share with you my own personal opinion.

   

   Firstly then, The Biggest Loser show is a kind of reality show that focuses on an extreme weight losing, sport activities and healthy lifestyle. There are three personal trainers - Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper and Dolvet, who are the best and the most popular trainers in the USA and who take care about 15 contestants, who are divided in three teams ( each with one trainer ). At the end of every single week there is a weighing and that team with the lowest weight loss has to choose one of its members and send him or her home. After few weeks, there will be no more teams, but only individuals. In this situation at the end of the week the person with the lowest weight loss automatically has to leave the competition. At the very end, there will be only three contestants remaining. An absolute winner will be the one with the biggest weight loss.

   In my opinion, this show is supercool. I like it so much, because I am a sport fanatic, so I love and enjoy the way the contestants have to excercise - 5 and more hours a day. Amazing! I would like to join them! :)

   It´s also good for my studies, because I watch it in English, so I can prove my language by this very well.

ENGLISH & ME

   I´ve been learning English for 17 years. I started in kindergarten when I was four. I remember me sitting in my classroom painting a picture of a claun. There were circles around his head and we had to use the color mentioned in these circles. Well, this is my oldest memory connected with me and English. From this moment English became a part of my life and I hope it will stay with me forever. Do you want to know why?

   English helps you to have the door to the rest of the world open.

It´s a very nice language and I love to study it. Everybody knows, that being able to speak at least one foreign language is very important and everybody also knows, that English is a worldwide language. This is why I think English is so important for everybody.

   I cannot imagine myself not knowing at least basics of English. If it was true, I would be totally lost. For example vacation would be a big problem, because I am sure, that staff in Tunisia is not able to speak Czech and I am, of course, not able to speak their language. Than the only way to communicate is in English. And how could we do it, if I would not be able to speak English?

   

   What more, I think that English sounds good. When somebody speaks English, they seem to be cool ( of course, Slovak language is a little bit cooler than English, but the only reason is, that Slovak language is so sexy :D ).

ABOUT ME

   To say something about me, I would like to start with some basic facts. I was born on the 3rd of Novermber 1992 - nice two months of being a member of the Czechoslovak community. If I was born a day earlier, I would be a child of death :D. Still, it is so optimistic to see candles, sadness, crying widows and widowers everywhere around when my birthday is about to come. :D So now I am almost 21 years old student and live with my family in a small house in Pečky, which is a town near Kolín. I am tall and have brown hair and blue eyes.

   And what about my interests? I am deeply addicted to sport. I cannot imagine a day without working out. I play basketball. I have started when I was 9 years old and still love it. But to be honest, I am not completely faithful to this 12 years lasting love. Sometimes I cheat on it with running and going to the gym. I am also interested in healthy lifestyle - in my free time I help people ( mostly to my friends ) to create an appropriate diet which will help them to lose weight. Thanks God, people are successful and nobody wants to kill me because of not seeing expected results :).

   And because I don´t wanna look like totally antisocial person, I should mention, that I also enjoy spending time with my friends. We go out, visit cinemas or sport events and have always a good time.
